hello everyone...
i got a glimpse today at the new windows
that is due out in about 1 years time...
this is windows vista...
i downloaded the beta 2 final 64bit version...
and i must say i am very very very impressed with it..
to be honest i think its going to be the best windows yet...
i mean i have only touched the surface with it...
as nvidia have only put out beta drivers...
with no acceleration or optimizations
so its basicly just windows...
ati on the other hand have popped out a fully
equipped driver for it... that is fully working...
im using bare bones aero glass
this is what they have called the new windows gui
and i must say its everthing you would want it to be
its very futuristic it flashes glows, grows n shrinks
by far its the best visual windows to date...
i totally love it... its total eye candy....
but apart from the visuals i find that
behind it all is the things we all love about win xp
everything is still there just tweaked faster and better..
if any of you can download and try it...
i would certainly recommend it..
but like i say nvidia drivers arent ready yet..
so there is no playing ut2k4 off of it or
any 3d accelerated softwares for that matter...
even windows media player 11 crashes if
you put it full screen while watching the things
that move around while listening to your fav track
but all in all i like it.. it perfect... and i cant wait
for the proper os version to be shipped sometime
next year.... good work finally microsoft...... woohoo

Thats true... But i'm sure: it works that good because it isn't originally from ms...

tripple core G5 CPU ------> this reminds me on a "bigger BigMac".... whit tripple cheese an tripple meat...

LOL, yes I'd say that. And I'd also say MS copied
a lot of stuff from Mac OS X for their new Vista!

I fully agree there. Thats why i'm not gonna get vista unless I really have to. Sorry....I hate Mac OS X. Don't cry Bjoern

some interesting replies here...
i heard before some elements where from a mac os
from what i see of it.. it looks good and seems very secure..
and i see it being the best windows platform to date..
remember this is beta.. its shaping up well...
i dunno how some people can say ms is crap
yeah they botch a few things... but what else is there
now im talking os not completely different computers...
windows is by far the best for a pc... maybe not for a mac..
but for a pc.. we cant really knock it... win xp pro rocks..
runs anything i throw at it... in a few years though like
all previous versions of windows it will become obsolete
what will you use? in a few more years it wont even work on your pc
unless you have an old one x86 i mean... cause tecnology will change
so much over the next few years... beleive it...
you will always use windows... as a main home pc os...
apart from bjoern who is on a mac
who here uses another os on there pc? that isnt windows... ?
there are linux system but who here actually uses it for day to day stuff
like editing videos playing games listening to your fav music browsing the net.. linux is server os and not really suited for the home user..
i use windows xp pro.. fully patched and updated... i love it
and i cant really fault it, its does what i need it to do...
