if you feel like a change in game play, try the fear combat multiplayer! its the full version of fear multiplayer without the game, and its just been released for DL free  1.7 gig

P/S its great if you dont have the full game but just wont to play online, dont forget to register for your free cd key

I have the full version of FEAR but can't update it to the most recent version. It says that I must downloda the English installer. That is what I downloaded - I did auto update. It does not find any servers either  Must be because of the different versions.

i really liked the singleplayer part it's so f***in scary didn't like the multiplayer part. Was way too slow for me ^^

well it wont cost you anything Gavin,
give it a try, first person modern day guns, beutifull graphics
like arne said slower than UT unless theres enough of you playing, then it gets hectic, i think good fun.

You can also download it through xfire if you want to try that.

I just tried downloading and it was running at 140KB/s - 4 hours remaining.
You may have to change your xfire settings to get it to download files quickly.
Also, on the FEAR Combat website there are links to other sites where you can download it.
The FEAR Download Website is: http://www.joinfear.com/ & the link is on the right hand side. You will need to visit this website to get a CD Key for the game anyway.

i ended up DLin it from xfire, tried all the rest, way to slow, xfire was the fastest, took 4 hours.
